Claire's body image goals

Leading up to Mental Health Awareness Week Claire from Windsor, tells us why she has decided to lose some weight.  She's already quite an active person taking part in a photography club, visits to a day centre, spending time with family and helping out at a Dementia tea dance. Claire wanted to be able to do more and feel healthier. She recently joined Slimming World and has already lost 8 pounds.

She said: "I go every Monday after the day centre and they give me lots of encouragement and ideas for healthy eating.  I'm hoping to try some of the new recipes they've given me."

Claire has found it quite easy to avoid cakes and treats and has added lots of walking to her daily routine.  She takes the stairs instead of lifts where possible which has also helped her shed the pounds. At her first meeting she won a board with £1 coin slots so that she can fill it each time she loses a pound.  

Claire added: "I feel really good already and when I get to £14/lbs. I'm going to treat myself to something nice to wear."
